Ever since BW2 revealed the whole 'N's real parent abandoned him in the forest' thing, I've given it a lot of thought. I like to imagine it was a single mom, but what were her motives for doing this? Was she genuinely shitty and didn't want to deal with a kid that talked to Pokemon? Or maybe, was it a situation where it was simply impossible for her to care for him any longer, and she figured he'd be happier living with Pokemon as opposed to being put with people who were strangers? I'm going to end up leaving that unanswered/ambiguous in this comic ultimately, so it could really be either here. I kind of like the idea of the latter of the two a little better, but the former is good as well because it adds another layer of cruelty to his backstory haha...
