The story is pretty convoluted I have to admit. She (yes, a she ) is a knight who wanders to strange lands and meets strange people. She sneaked into this lighthouse-castle and was captured by the King. And then somehow this happens. Still working out the details there. Oh, yes, her critter is like a gazelle, though its a shapeshifter and also can take the form of a maned wolf (thus the tail).

I can see what you mean about the lighting. I'll try fiddling with it, see what I can do.

That sounds pretty stereotypical of a fairytale, but with enough twists in it to be plenty interesting! ^^ Let me know if you end up writing it; I'd love to read it. The shapeshifter sounds interesting as well; can it turn into a human?

Nope, it doesn't turn into a human. It's always either a gazelle-like animal or a maned wolf or something in between, and its intelligence is about that of a fox.

I'll send you a line when/if I get it written. The convoluted part is that it's all a dream had by a healer in a steampunk-ish setting that I roleplay in (Thorns: Uprising [link] ). The fairytale elements are inspired from books she read as a kid.
