Being to give Max a try (I have not used it since version 3.1) and also V-Ray. After all these years using Accurender I really do not know where to start again?

start by making simple scenes perhaps? like a bedroom maybe..and doing some test renders based on some vray interior lighting tutorials that u can find easily on the internet? pieces by pieces..and let your curiosity leads you?
