Actually, I have never known that there is a subspecies of American red squirrel.....The first that comes to mind is a European one, but they look different and have an absolutely charming personality)))))

I asked the guide in Denali NP, Alaska once, 'what type of sparrow is that?' she kinda grinned and said 'I -think- that's a Red Squirrel'. Ouch. xD
