So there we go! I finally finished this story. I had many problems when I tried to make all this comic, but I think this conclusion is something some of you might like.

I've said before that I wanted to make this story since 2016. The first question is: Why did it take me so long to make? The short answer is that I wanted to make a satisfying comic not only as an artist, but also as a fan of Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy. The long answer is that I had many different ideas with very different results, including Rainbow Dash getting rejected.

For example, my first idea was to make Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy to go on a date for a day. Dashie would drive her car and they would go on a creepy bar with lots of rock music and angry bikers that Rainbow Dash got used to because she's a occasional client. In that bar, Lightning Dust happens to be in there and starts a fight with Dashie because of the events of Wonderbolts Academy. She finally smashes Rainbow Dash's head with a crystal bottle and she ends up in a hospital thanks to Fluttershy and the rest of her friends. Then, the two have a moment alone and Dashie confesses her love to Fluttershy. And then we have two extreme endings: Fluttershy loves Dashie too or she doesn't feel that way.

There's a variation of the story, where Rainbow Dash ends up not being as hurt as in the other story and she ends up in Fluttershy's home, where she tells to her crush that she didn't want to end her plans this way. Then, they would sleep together. That ending would be dense in a way that you can say that they shared some love or that they just slept together and that's it.

The second idea was to make Rainbow Dash playing her guitar next to a tree. Then Fluttershy would appear to spend some time with her. Suddenly, Litghtning Dust appears to start a fight with Rainbow Dash because of what happened in Wonderbolts Academy. The rest of the story would end at the hospital or Fluttershy's home like in the first idea.

And, if Rainbow Dash being rejected would be the ending, can I end the story with her confronting her solitude or can I suggest another shipping? My first thought would be Applejack seeing something in Dashie, suggesting that she's falling in love with her. But, if that's the case, why did I make so much fanart implying that Rainbow Dash has a crush on Fluttershy for years in the first place? If someone is into this shipping, that person would expect a romantic conclusion. So, as much as I'm into bitter endings (such as Elfen Lied, Black Swan, Cowboy Bebop and Shadow of the Colossus), I'm aware that most people love happy endings. That sounds like the ending of Annie Hall (when Alvin writes a play based on his relationship with Annie, but with a happy ending), but that's exactly how I feel about it.

Besides, this has been a miserable year. You want and you deserve to see a small optimistic whisper.

Another crucial part was the amount of pages that would take me to finish the already planned story. It would last forever in a moment where I tend to get busy because of unexpected circumstances, and I don't want to have the fear that this would never be finished. In 2019 I already experienced anxiety and depression for so many different personal reasons that tested my patience, my sanity, my will and my plans. As a result, the story you finished reading was planned for a couple of days in January 2020. It was supposed to be finished for Valentine's Day, but for personal reasons I couldn't do it.

So that's basically it. I hope you like the comic and I mostly hope that you understand that it takes time to plan and make a fancomic or even fanarts. The story is not perfect, because, as a reader, Rainbow Dash's confession from the second page was too sudden. But I wanted to get to the point and, even though I could have planned it better, I'm happy with the overall result.
