You have no idea how many iterations this guy went through before I finally settled on something I liked. Seriously, I have a LEAST half a dozen unfinished sketches trying to come up with a portrait. After struggling for weeks I finally put all of them together and came up with this in about three days! And I'm so happy with the outcome!

Anyways, if you're familiar with the best PS4 game of all time, my OC, Vale, is from the Lakota tribe (non-canon), hailing from a land far across the western Forbidden Desert of the Sundom, far enough that his home village sits at the shores of the great ocean! (Centre-west of modern-day California) A skilled machine hunter, Vale's preferred weapons are his shield and hammer, both crafted himself. He also wields a rope able to carry an electric current and another blade-mounted gauntlet, that's not pictured here. If you look closely, you can see a projectile weapon mounted behind his shield; a transformed Stalker cannon (and a Shell Walker shield module in front that doesn't work). He has a helmet as well, but I didn't draw it here cause I wanted people to see his face, and it's of a style I still haven't decided on. The symbol to the right is a mark inked on the skin over Vale's heart, it's meaning a mystery.

Vale first appears in Chapter 2 of my original fanfiction work, Command Protocol, following a few months after the events of the game and concerns the worsening Derangement of the machines. archiveofourown.org/works/1392…

I'm definitely drawing him again, either in an action scene or something of the like. Colour also isn't my forte, and neither are digital paint programs. That's okay, though. Nothing beats traditional sketching with a pencil in your hands. This was drawn on paper and scanned to my computer, btw.
