Ah, this is very helpful! I'm really glad you pointed out the lines as in previous pixels I made the lines very much like the reckless scribbling, but now that I see your example I realize that it doesn't look as nice! This is something I'll focus on more in the future! But I love how you have included every little detail of what you did, thank you very much for making this! Would it be alright if I asked a couple of questions if it is not too much trouble? ^^

They were all useful, of course~ x3 That one just particularly pointed out something I didn't notice before! When it comes to shading for pixels I've seen people suggest using a kind of "hatching" for shading. Like a gradient where some of the lighter shades were put next to the darker shading to making blending without actually using a blending tool. Is that more like a style or just something done with smaller pixels because there is little room?
My other question, how do you do the bouncing animation? I hope that's not a silly question >.< Do you basically select the part you want to bounce and shrink it and enlarge it again? Thanks in advance for your answers :3

oh, about a hatching kinda shading? do you mean... is it called "dithering"? I'm not 100% sure q w q;
I am aware it is certainly useful technique for blending, maybe it would make an art look smoother if
it is your style, but in honesty I do not do it! my normal art is just cel shaded, so I do not dither -- I think
it just depend on your style ♪( ´▽｀)
and about the bouncing -- I use a website that allows you create simple GIF animations! you can put images
into the site and then combine them into a little looping animation u v u
so, I creating two versions of my image: the original one, and one which is slightly shorter. I make the shorter
image by selecting part of the pagedoll, copying it, delete it from the original layer, and pasting it onto a
separate layer -- then you can move either layer to make the pagedoll move! (I hope that is not too confusing,,)
as an example, I could select all of the pagedoll above the knees, move it to a second layer, and then bring it
down a few pixels to make the bobbing image!
then I upload both of this images to the gif creator site and done! (a site such as gifmaker.org work just fine,
it is free and easy to use interface, you can even adjust the resolution/dimensions of your gif and change the speed!)
