It irks him. She irks him.

Her whole being is an anti-thesis to him. She was painfully shy, and quite young. 25? 27? She should not act like a blithering 16 year old with an awkward social life. And it didn't help that she slouches because she was so tall, making her even contrast with him more.

In fact, when he first met her, she was not even human; she was a....tiny, yellow horse...with pink hair...and wings. Then she transformed into a human.

Engineer said that it had something to do with this dimension's "dress code"; whatever that meant.

But whenever she would go to assist him in the battle field, stumbling, and spouting a slew of apologies (good Lord, they will have to buy the girls clothing soon, the clothes they lent were too baggy); he sometimes would imagine the hint of wings attached to her back.

And that was what irked him the most. Because, he knows (he's sure of it), that the longer she follows him in the battlefield, sooner or later, her wings will be clipped, and he can do nothing about it.

Hi! So this is the first of my pony/tf2 Head-canon series...thing....Ever have that younger sibling that you are irritated with so much, and you think is different from you like night and day, but in actuality is also very much like you? That's Fluttershy to Medic.

The wings are metaphoricalically ironic.

This scenario happens very early when Fluttershy and the other girls (and Spike) still don't have their uniforms and Fluttershy doesn't have her tattoos.
