This is going off my head cannon where Spring Bonnie and Golden Freddy were like brothers back at Fred Bear's Family Diner. And when the Purple guy started using Spring Bonnie's body to kill the children, and SB was completely lucid during those times, making him start to go completely insane. He begged Golden Freddy to leave him alone so that Spring Bonnie wouldn't hurt or kill him, to which Golden Freddy refused. When the Purple guy died inside the Spring Bonnie suit, it made the growing psychosis worse. He was left to rot in the safe room, which warped Spring Bonnie, having his personality combine with Purple guy's to become Springtrap (with SB actually being trapped inside his own body, unable to do anything).ΒWhen Golden Freddy gained his supernatural abilities, he made it his goal to free his brother from the monster that keeps him prisoner. No matter what Springtrap does or has done, Goldie is unwilling to give up on him; in fact, if you were to tell Springtrap what Goldie was doing for him, it'd be enough for Spring Bonnie to take control for a few seconds, run away from anyone that may be around (into the safe room so he doesn't hurt anybody) and feel like he's the most despicable person/animatronic/whatever to exist, (possibly cry), and hate himself for being so weak before Springtrap takes over him again, even more determined to make sure Goldie's task is a living nightmare.

In my dumb AU:
Springbonnie and Fredbear preform at Fredbear's Family Diner, then Purple guy used Springbonnie to kill childrenΒ and hurt the ones he loves (especially Fredbear). Fredbear found out and tried helping him but Springbonnie tells him to stay out of it because he might get hurt or worse, killed.
The reason why Purple guy chose him it's because he's the weakest and....yeah.
The only thing Springbonnie does is run away crying/sobbing and lock himself in a safe room because he "killed" children and got mega hatred and critism from others.
No matter what he does, Fredbear still loves him as either a brotherly relationship or romance or both (which is a bromance god o.O).
God I hate my AU! It's stupid.

It isn't stupid, but it IS similar.Β
The Purple guy picked Spring Bonnie because it would be less conspicuous if Spring Bonnie was missing (as he tended to break down more often). Yes, he feels responsible for the children's deaths, but it's because he was unable to stop Purple Guy from using his body to kill people.Β
As for "hurting" Fredbear/Golden Freddy, it was more indirect than intentional. The hurt was not really like "Look what I can make him do!" It was more of "I see what he's doing to you, and it hurts me to see you in so much pain."Β
And lastly, he still loves Spring Bonnie because he knows his brother is still in there somewhere, hurt and alone and not wanting to hurt anyone. (You can call the relationship "familial" or "fraternal" if you don't want to call it a "bromance," by the way.)
