My version of Forte grew up in a London orphanage in the 1740's; he never knew his mother or father, but I think its entirely possible that he and Snape are from the same family tree anyway. IMHO, I think they have very similar personality traits. Dark, brooding, loners, but highly focused and loyal to a fault. 


**Correction, I miscalculated the dates. I figure Forte to be in his early 50's when the Prince and castle are cursed, and I figure the curse occurred twenty years before the storming of the Bastille which took place in 1789. So, that means Forte would have been born roughly around 1719. Therefore, he would have been at the orphanage during the 1720's.

Awesome.  I sort of feel like this is an amazing portrayal of him.  The idea of him and Snape being related somewhere down the line is a very interesting plot point if you think about it.  After all Forte did gain magical abilities when he was transformed into the Pipe Organ.  Hmm, interesting thoughts really.

I hadn't thought about that, (Forte gaining magical abilities) in connection to him and Snape having a mutual bloodline, but yah, this is looking interesting.  

I'm working out the sequel to my first Forte fic, and a big part of the story is explaining why the enchantress cursed the castle in the first place, and she intends on casting a very powerful spell to protect everyone in the castle from the coming revolution. Even though he's human again, maybe Forte still has a little magic in him to help with the spell? Hmmm...

Yes, it is an interesting thought.  I like the thought of them being related somewhere down the line.  I would like the also think the enchantress is an ex Hogwarts student as well.  Now that . . . is an interesting thought!

I think the enchantress might be a graduate of Beauxbatons, the french academy. Forte's family is no doubt English and so Hogwarts would be their school and of course, Slytherin is their house.  
I don't really want to do a all out cross over, but a nice nod of recognition would certainly be in order.

It makes a lot of sense when you think about it.  Also, sense she cursed the castled, that would suggest she is a bit of a baddie herself. But, I have intentions to show she has her motives.

Yes, as you said she may have done so to actually protect the castle so no one would come near.  The revolution was going on at the time the movie takes place I believe.  I guess it was a way to protect some of the inhabitants inside.  Maybe, since Snape and Forte are some kind of relation she was actually trying to protect him because he had magic in his blood line.  That could be an ulterior motive.  Maybe it had nothing to do with the prince.  Maybe Forte's family worked for the prince to have refuge from those who were against magic.

And I now have two chapters of No Revolution For You posted up.

I asked Kinkusu to draw a picture of my Forte because I had an idea for the sequel, but just couldn't get any details in my head, because every time I imagined Forte, he had that stupid wig on his head, and I hate those wigs! Now that I have a seen what he actually looks like, I'm able to focus on the story like I should.

I'm so glad Rinkusu did this. There are a quite a few nicely done pics of Forte, but for what I saw in him, I knew she'd make him perfectly. She makes him beautiful, without taking away from his darker demeanor.

I hear ya. I like computer graphics when their done right, but for someone who can translate what's in their mind into a visible work of art, using only their hands and a drawing utensil, is absolutely amazing.  

Kinkusu has a style uniquely her own.  Any time I see her work now, I can tell its hers right away without looking for her signature, yet she is able to make each character distinctive from one another and yet still reflect their original appearance. Not too many people have that kind of talent. Either they make the character look completely off from their original design, or they're just flat and lifeless. Kinkusu's drawings have "feels" all over them.

I still can't get over how you managed to draw what I had inside my head. 

I want to write Forte with a past full of bad breaks, hard knocks, and a few knives stuck in his back, that makes him pretty bitter and very lonely but genuinely well meaning and deep down a passionate lover in all accepts of love, though he'd rather die than admit it. So, he's not a very cheerful looking guy even on a good day, unless of course he's wrapped up in one of his songs.
