Have a lot of WIPs and felt like I needed to atleast post one drawing.Anyway, Ruby from RWBY. Been watching the series as of late so..yeah. Have some of this.
Not managing to fit her weapon was my mistake, as I did the composition and coloring before putting in the weapon and because of it you can't see much of it.
I would need to draw her smaller or do a completely different composition to fit it.
Not terribly bummed out as this was more of a relax drawing kinda thing.
Blurings added for effect and so that people will focus on what I want them to look at I suppose.

I knew if you ever started drawing RWBY fanart it would look great. ^ ^
The only thing that feels off is the front hand, it seems like it should be holding something not empty. It's kind of just sitting there right now.
The drawing has a really nice atmosphere, and the weppen doesn't really feel that off to me. I like how it's mostly covered and acts as a line drawing you back into the piece.
It's always nice seeing new art from you.

Haha I knew someone would eventually point it out. You're basically right. Initially that hand was supposed to hold the scythe along with the right hand, because primarily Ruby is left handed. however i miscalculated or in this case, mis-imagined and no matter how I drew the scythe on the left hand it just looked wrong or would cover things I didn't want to. I had to compromise with my limited artistic skills and this was the best I could go for. Well it's like I wrote in the description. drawing the weapon after the composition and colors was a big mistake on my part. I would make her hold osmetihng else if I just could think of something but aside form her scythe she really doesn't hold anything in her hands that wouldn't look weird in this case. I could have her hold a rose petal. but someone i know drew her holding a rose petal so...I'ts kind of a personal thing I guess.
