It's not that I hate GT Trunks, I just prefer the other ones. In this picture I portrayed him in (in my opinion) his worst state in GT, he actually does have some good moments. Not as much as Future Trunks though.
GT on its own isn't the worst series in the world, not at all. It's just not as good as Z.

Yes! Someone that agrees! I don't like what they did to Trunks! Sure, okay, I kinda expected him to be a bit more cocky with Vegeta being alive but, not to the extent they made him to be as a kid. Though, it is nice to see kid Trunks. I was kinda hoping they would keep his first personality because,it was Trunks' personality but, no! They had to turn him into a geek like Gohan had been turned into one. I swear being a geek seemed to be trend in Dragonball GT. At least, thats what it seems to me. Hopefully, they'll change it back with the new CANON Dragon Ball Super series. Don't believe when I say it's more canon than GT. It clearly stats that it takes place after the Buu Saga!

yeah i totally agree i like Future Trunks way better hes more badass but sweet and gentle too towards his friends and his shyness is adorable and apart from Leo Dicaprio hes the only one that looks sexy with a Bowl haircut lol Kid Trunks was cool too a bit bratty at times but funny between the kids i liked Goten the best he was just so sweet you wanted to pick him up and hug him and he was sweet as an adult but more into that damn phone than fighting wanted to rip the phone off him and throw it in the water lol but GT Trunks oh dear he was a poor hopless cause sure he was sweet and kinda shy think he took some of Future Trunks peronality he calm down and wasent such a brat but he looked like a dork and what was with the glasses omg i blame the writters they ruined poor Trunks i dont like him but love your art it is awesome well done

I absolutely love Future Trunks, out of the three of them.
He just had that sort of aspect that made me relate to him in some odd way.
We saw how his life was and, unlike the other two, he had to work his ass off and go through hell and back to even ascend to Super Saiyan. It took seeing his best friend/mentor/older brother/father figure dead after an unfair fight to get him to go to Super Saiyan, which was the saddest and darkest moment of the series.
Even then, he still couldn't beat them, even after becoming a Super Saiyan. Unlike the others who just gained a power up to defeat an enemy, Mirai Trunks still lost to the androids and had to train to finally end their 20 year reign.
I can only imagine how he felt growing up, having a post apocalyptic future for a life, losing people and being humiliated time and again.
I really wish he was brought back. He must of ascended to a Super Saiyan 2 by now, maybe even higher. Fighting is a part of his life, always has been and always will be.
He deserves to be happy after all the crap that he's been through.

So, I have a question regarding GT.
What if Cell had broken out of hell during the Super 17 saga and wanted revenge against Gohan?
How do you figure that meeting and battle would go after over 20 years?
Do you think Cell could push Gohan even further past Super Saiyan 2? That would be awesome if he did.
And another question:
Say a post Cell games Gohan, post Buu saga Trunks and Goten and Mirai Trunks were caught in the Time Stream and land in the time of GT?
How would they do in that time, with a little training with their future selves, before Baby that is?
A battle between the past and future, along with past, future and alternate future would be epic, but what would they do against their mind controlled future/alternate counterparts?

Cell breaks out scenario:
That battle could've been great, especially since Cell has enough of a Saiyan in him to keep training all those years, something Gohan didn't do. Technically Gohan is already at his maximum, due to the Old Kai, but I doubt that would keep any Saiyan back. I wouldn't like Gohan as SSJ 3 though, I just really dislike that form.
Either way, it would be one of the best battles imaginable and I'm not even completely sure Gohan would win.
Time stream one:
Teen Goten and Trunks didn't train enough, I wouldn't be surprised if their younger selves are more powerful (or at least more inclined to battle) than them. They'd probably be fine. Against their mind-controlled selves, however, I'm not too sure. A strong sense of morality will always keep the goodguys back, whereas the badguys don't mind going all the way.
Mirai Trunks has seen a lot of shit though, so he might be one of the best in those battles. He knows when he has to take drastic measures.
Post Cell Games Gohan is pretty much screwed 
Perfect Cell, Future Trunks and Goten and Trunks from the normal universe participate in Dragonball-Multiverse

I agree with all of this.
The Super 17 arc could have gone better, especially with the villains. The Cell vs Gohan rematch would have been my favorite all time match, especially if Gohan was able to combine his Super Saiyan 2 power with his mystic self without destroying the Solar system.
He isn't the most powerful non-fused fighter for nothing.
It's a good thing that he cherishes life and hates violence.
You know, I have to wonder if wither Gohan or Goten resent their father for leaving them behind all the time. I think they get why, but I would think that they'd have some type of resentment towards him.
Especially Gohan. They never showed the in between seven years thing, but I would think Gohan would've had some type of emotional instability or a minor form or PTSD. That would have been great for his character development.
The mind controlled selves vs the younger selves/alternate self would have been an awesome battle too. Maybe the other 4 could use what they know of themselves against their older selves.
So, I have to wonder, couldn't the remaining saiyans in the Z-warriors just wish for their tails back if they choose to? As a second wish, they can ask Shenron to make the moon unable to produce blutz waves, so all the full moon would do to them is give them a sugar rush.
If they wanted to ever transform, Vegeta has the moon ball technique and he can always use that and teach the others how to do so, if only so Gohan, Goten, Trunks, Pan and Bra can become Super Saiyan 4's one day.

In the TFS abridged series they kinda go into Gohan's resentment (at least they're working up to it). Goku seems to do nothing but abandon his family.
Though the transformation wouldn't be much of a power-up anymore, it is their heritage and those two wishes would be pretty interesting. If the blutz waves aren't necessary for nature it shouldn't be a problem.

Don't remind me of this. The chibi saiyans got royally F-ed in Gt. I hate Trunk's Design, it looks like he lost half his muscle mass from the end of DBZ. His personality isn't the greatest, I still imagine him to be a bit of a prankster. Not as bad as when he was a Kid mind you but he is such a pushover sometimes. And other times he's back to being plain assertive Trunks, it's almost like he's bipolar. I really Like Goten's design for some reason but I hate that they've turned him into a one dimensional player who gets a grand total of 30 min of Screen time in the whole series. Gt had some great ideas but they were so poorly executed that it really doesn't have many redeeming qualities.

I dont understand why people don't like the GT series so much. I mean, yeah they fly around and Baby uses the black star balls to recreate the tuffle planet but after that it gets good!
