I was a great fan of 1960s SF and liked the book covers they had back then, when the most sophisticated piece of kit the illustrators had was an airbrush. Mrs aegian likes this too so I've favoured it and would like to offer you this in return: [link]

Thank you both very much My book shelf as you can imagine is a yellowing dog eared collection of C.S.Lewis, Robert A. Heinlein, Arthur C. Clarke, H.G. Wells, George Herbert, Poul Anderson, William Shatner
and so on. In the future, when there is more time, I plan learn more of the fascinating Art techniques
thanks again

Brilliant colour especially in the sky. Did you use Pandromeda?
It would be cool if you put little vehicles or pods down on the ground. Nice Job.

Thanks I'm glad you like it, I'm not familiar with Pandromeda... I'll have to check that out. The 3-D models and stuff I built in Bryce and all the color, painting, fractals, & those wind blown clouds were done in Gimp.

This one is very different than your usual style of artwork. While most of yours is sort of close up and has a focal point that is in the foreground, this is the first one that doesn't look quite as jagged, and like the view is from the sky, while your others are from a perspective looking up (it seems to me). I love the effect, it's very smooth, and I think this is a really good depiction of a fantasy landscape. Nice work definitely fav'd.

Thank you, I've tried a few experiments with distance, but nothing like this... this actually sat around on my computer for like a month before I finally decided to post it, I'm glad you like it

It /might/ be my favorite, but there are still too many to choose DX I could never draw because I'm really bad at perceiving distance. I literally can't tell the difference between a small thing and a faraway thing sometimes. So I'll draw a very small tree in the foreground or something...

Lol, distance I understand, it's the right way to hold a pencil that always confused me actually I require an effective eraser in order to make things look the way I want them, but traditional mediums always seem to constantly remind me of my mistakes, that's probably why I became a digital artist. Then I started adding smudges and eraser marks and pixelizations which you can't get away with in traditional art but are interesting in this kind of medium... at least I think *shrugs*.

Oh, I still can't hold a pencil right, nobody can read my handwriting, I can barely read it myself, hence why I mostly type my stories as opposed to actually writing them on paper. I type much faster than I write, too.

Same here, what did people like us do before technology?

Nice! It has the feel of a 1960's sci-fi book cover.

thank you much. It's just missing those airplane shaped rocket ships and people in ultra thin space suits with laser guns.
