A point on anatomy... Male wasps don't have ovipositors (stingers). An ovipositor is a female's reproductive organ. It's an extension of the vaginal duct, and is used for laying eggs. A male wasp would have an aedeagus (claspers) instead. This organ is soft and bulbous, and such, are incapable of stinging.
