for my animation class we now have to do character studies and character design, then convert the designs we make into an animation and a 3-D model
WHICH IS TOTALLY UP MY ALLEY !! LOVE THIS SHIT

we put together an 'inspiration page' where we put art and designs of our inspirations on one page (mine is fuckin HU G E i have so many people and characters I l oVE) and got into the start of the second stages today : creating 3 rough designs of what we want/are interested in

naturally, I chose an undead skeleton pirate, a plague doctor inspired by crows, (I modeled him off Fritz) and a lanky ass lookin' vampire boy
(you can see the original concept sketched for them here)

i decided I would do either the skeleton or the doctor since I loved them the most (might bring the vampire back????? idk I already have Dracula and Ren but hey can't have too many vampers) and made refined and coloured versions of them

now, when it came to just looking cool, I defiantly go with the pirate, but LOOK AT ALL THAT DETAIL AND CLOTHES F AK I can hardly animate simple shit without dying
I like the doctor's design a little less, but he looks WAY MORE FUN AND EASIER TO ANIMATE
buuuuuut i made the mistake of showing my animation teacher and fell head over heels for the pirate |D
i was like but it looks hard to animate and I thought he would bring that up too but nOPE HE WAS LIKE CHOOSE HIM OR E L SE
so yeah rip my life into pieces
i'll probably make the doc an illustration too but I just thought of this pose for this guy and it was super fun!!!!
I was gunna name him Captain Calcium but then thought of Captain Lockjaw idk yet
