About a month ago, I had asked DRWolf001 through YouTube's private messages for a quick word of advice. In his usual, encouraging way, he replied by directing me to a few of his videos that addressed my concerns. I was moved by the words he said on his videos, in addition to all of his other contributions to the brony fandom, that I wanted to thank him with both a piece of fanart and a short fanfic.The fanfic can be found here: hayleycometra.deviantart.com/a…
Both this fanart and the fanfic depict my ponysona (named Ripple Effect) visiting Dr. Wolf for a quick word of advice. As I'm likely to not have my own video session with Dr. Wolf, I felt this would be a sufficient substitute for me. This was fun to draw. My favorite parts are the portrait of Princess Luna (as I don't recall her portrait ever being in any of his offices), the cutie mark rug, and (most of all) the books.

Much as I would like to, there are no plans of my doing a video with him. This was just the setting of what I imagined such a video might look like.

About three or four months, I guess (not 100% sure how long). I actually did the background separately, then paused on it for several weeks while I was trying to draw ponies passable enough to draw my OC. While that was happening, Dr. Wolf was addressing more and more subjects, which in turn inspired me replace the objects of one bookshelf with more books.

This looks really good, you are coming along nicely with improving your stuff! Not to mention you made your own background???!!! That's awesome! I'm terrible at backgrounds, erm well, I mean well I simply don't like making them and it took me years of practice, patience and study in college to get a "feel" for them. Here though you just made one no problem at all!
I have to admit I'm a little peanutbutter'n jealous right now lol.

What I love about the background is the bookshelf. She gave every book a title that's readable. Most would just draw books with scribbles for a title. It's an awesome piece. And as always your OC is adorable.
