Three of the characters from Mass Effect, Urdnot Wrex, Garrus Vakarian, and Tali'Zorah, done in a Clone Wars-ish art style (the Clone Wars miniseries done by Genndy Tartakovsky...not The Clone Wars). All done in MSPaintMass Effect and all characters (c) Bioware

That would be an awesome series, indeed. And, talking about the clone wars Saga... isn't it odd that a 15 minute cartoon had more plot and better writing than the 2 hour moive it was based upon?

lol yes. yes it would. I do admit that the original CW was truly epic, but have to disagree about it being better than the movie. CW was very episodic in nature with a slew of mini-plots, while the movie was more main-plot focused. Its comparing apples and oranges. I enjoy both for what they were intended to be.

Cool idea. Never occured to me to combine the two. Nicely simplified forms here, perfect for animating. Though Garrus's face has more personality than he'll allow. And would have liked to see a Genndy omni-tool.

thanks. I forget exactly how the idea came to me, but it did, and thats what matters. I think the simplified style of Clone Wars is what makes it so appealing. Hmm...now that you mention it, a CW style omni-tool would look pretty sweet...thanks for the suggestion! I'll add it in if I do more characters

It is an interesting and fun concept, but I have to say that there isn't really much to distinguish these Mass Effect characters as being a parody of Clone Wars. They could easily be parodying Halo or Metroid or such. Yes, it's in the same style as Genndy Tartakovsky's work in the 2003 Star Wars: Clone Wars miniseries...however, you could have easily said that this was simply a go at Mass Effect and said nothing about Star Wars.
It's very well done, I like it and can see the amount of work you did to it. But it's not really Clone Wars-ish.

Ah. good! I was really just going for capturing the art style of Tartakovsky. Sorry if I gave the impression of it being anything more than that. As for the whole referencing Star Wars thing, I wanted to give credit where credit was due, and more people know the name Star Wars than Tartakovsky.

^^ awesome! Yes, when I (finally) got done with Wrex's face I thought he looked like someone from that arena too! Originally with Garrus, I had drawn his head much too realistic (I still kept it...couldnt just throw away a perfectly good head) so I had to make it longer and more spikey. And yes, Tali's hands (and helmet) were my favorite parts about her...her legs gave me trouble though. I had a hard time figuring out what to do with her raised hand, so I drew a few to pick from (pointing up, holding an explosive, and the wave...yea, pointing up looks like a certain nasty hand gesture when you only have 3 fingers) so the waving hand won out.
(I noticed that too. strange...and the similarities in the asari and the humans appearances are remarkably similar as well. very interesting.)

(I guess it could all be explained by the Reapers guiding all species' evolution, although animation constraints come close second in the list of plausible reasons.

Hehe. It annoys me when people nerdrage about this stuff too much. I've gone through my "argh asari are all too attractive to be real" soapbox phase, but then I saw some of the people online who have intense arguments about turian biology whatever...and don't want to be one of them. I don't care enough about fake bio to get in shouting matches about it. XD
Hehe, only what you want to do. (Although Mordin in this style would be awesome...Jack would just look like Asajj in terms of face shape... and we haven't seen a picture of your Shep yet, have we?)

Yea, I went through a similar thing with the Mandos in TCW, but things will smooth themselves out. Shouting matches shouldnt happen over simple tv show and videogame lore.
^^ I'm up for whatever. I'll probably take a short break, but I'll see what I can do. (Mordin would be pretty awesome in CW style, and Jack would look a lot like Asajj. As for my Shep...I originally was just having fun with the customizations and ended up making Chuck Norris...and then sticking with it. I was actually surprise when I realized male Shep's voice actor sounds remarkably similar to Mr. Norris.
