I wonder how mixing those methods works...do you need to make very detailed digital sculpt or only the skeletal and muscle one you then paint over?

Regarding the technique, even when sometimes I do exactly how you mentioned, this time is a detailed sculpt (which you can see here ) with some paint over. Most of the background is made mixing different pictures.

I see. It's strange to me, but I was sure you painted the fluff on this art(on the shoulders), while it's part of digital sculpt and there it looks more natural.
Just to say, maybe it will be useful in future, maybe not, it's just my view and opinion
