Description Balrogs' heads a go-go!

Here you have an exercise of exploration taking an already known design as a base. In this case, I took the Lord of the Rings movie Balrog and made the other six, including Gothmog (which you can see in the center of the picture). I even imagined how Lungorthin the white balrog would be (even when Tolkien didn't portrayed him in his books), just out of fun.

Made in Ps CS5.

Didn't portray him as in he never got the stoplight and only mentioned in the appendices or not a Tolkien creation at all?

"But Lungorthin Lord of Balrogs on the mouth smote him, and Morgoth smiled"
this is the only mention of him, in The Children Of Hurin.

Although, from what I could find out, the pale/blue "design" has been assumed from his (sindarin) name:
"Lun" - either ulun - monster/creature or luin - blue
"gor" - gor - fear/pain
"thin" - thinn - gray/pale

Wow, something I didn't know. But Lord of Balrogs? I thought that title was given to Gothmog.

Yep, that's the confusing part. Some people think he's just /a/ lord of balrogs, not /the/ lord of balrogs; some think Lungorthin and Gothmog are the same character, just in different states of Tolkien's ideas.
Whatever, we have a blue Balrog, that's all that counts

Spot on. Even when there are some people who defend that Lungorthin and Gothmog are the same, I thought that it would be funny to make them different individuals so I pictured Lungorthin as an "albino" balrog.
