Description
This is me in my Nico Robin costume, from One Piece! It's her first outfit as 'Miss All Sunday', in the Alabasta arc.

I sewed the clothes myself, and modified existing boots and the hat.

For the coat, I started with a pattern, which I then heavily modified, adding lining and the fur edging. It's made out of imitation suede, so it's really nice and soft. You can't see the designs too closely here, but they were probably the most nerve-racking part of the entire costume, as one slip would have brought me back to square one.

The corset was also quite tricky; it's the first time I've used any form of corset boning in a costume, so I had to do a fair bit of experimenting to get the shape right.

Oh, and that's a wig, for the record. Again, lots of cutting and styling had to be done. I love how it turned out; people kept on assuming it was my real hair.
