With this piece, I wanted a real sense of scale. The theme is all about flight and trusting yourself. I wanted it to feel like a dream; the only way to find out if you can fly or not is to jump.Time: Approx 5-6 hours

This piece is fantastic. I knew I had to click on it when I saw it displayed on the main page. The colors were the first thing to grab my attention, with the almost neon blues and greens, and the contrasting orange. I really like how you tried to make the boy and the birds similar in looks with one another, it expresses the idea you are trying to get across: flight.

Hmm... maybe because I first saw it as a thumbnail, I felt the effect of depth could be pushed a little further. It's probably because there's equal portion of land and sky, there's a lesser feeling of a danger of falling into empty space. But it pretty much resolves itself when full viewed and it's still gorgeous. |D I need to stop slacking and draw more, this is awesome...

This is so beautiful, I love how you've made the rocks so detailed and how the character really does look ready to jump off the edge and follow the birds. However, I can also see it in another way where it looks like the character is wishing he could fly with the birds but can't. Either way, I love it. Very well done!
