This is my entry for the Wai-con 2005 art competition! The theme is 'cosplay' (as in, drawing anime characters cosplaying).
..and really, this idea had to be done. Anyone who's seen both Yu Yu Hakusho and Bleach will probably have noticed a few 'little' plot and character similarities between the two animes.I'm amazed that I managed to get this done in time. Please excuse any errors with the costumes, I really did do this in a rush. Only one day to Wai-con now, I sure am cutting it pretty close!

You should have made Botan Orihime, and Keiko Rukia, though.

Yeah but Botan brought Yuske into the Spirit Detective business and Keiko's the love interest, like Rukia made Ichigo a Shinigami and Orihime's the love interest... only she can actually fight.

inoue being the 'love interest' is an interesting call, considering that it can argued that her love is nothing more than a play on character development while Ichigo and Rukia have the romantic interest...imagine Yusuke and Botan o_O

. . . After long contemplation, I have arrived at the only possible outcome being Hiei as Rukia.
(nnggh, or maybe Captain Hitsugaya but Rukia would be more amusing and who doesn't want to stick Hiei in an embarrassing crossplay?)

Hmmm, I wonder what other YYH characters could be cast as Bleach ones.... well, right off the bat Sensui would make a great Aizen (one's a former Rei Ki, the other's a former Soul Reaper, and they both went rogue)

I must say, I was just at my dad's and he was catching me up on Bleach episodes and I was thinking it was a rip-off of YYH! How funny you have the two that got impersonated as opposing characters. And Kurama cosplaying my fav from Bleach mmm Kurama looks good in glasses! (Kurama will always be my favorite bishi). Aw poor Puu having to be Kon. hm, I wonder if Hiei would be Renji or the short squad captain dude with the ice dragon? (haha fire/ice...Yukina could be Momo)

You say Hiei is to short for anyone but Botan is to tall for Rukia. I think Renji should fit as part of Ichigo's team. So hiei as Renji?

Bleach was turned down by a lot of publishing companies because IT WAS too much a like yu-yu hakusho
the maker of DBZ got it published for Kubo though
