I spent a long time trying to find out how to build exterior shot backgrounds, and then I realized I had GMod the whole time. If youβre looking for exterior shots then use GMod.

i use usually backgrounds and such made for comipo from other users but for special stuff this is a nice alternative way, thankies~

Incidentally, I bought both Sim 3 and Gmod JUST for this very purpose (On another comic project of mine) Although with Comipo, Sim 3's style blends in better than Gmod

luckily, in sales, sims 3 isnt that expensive anymore, so its a good way to create comipo backgrounds without paying a lot. i happend to own it before. maybe you even like playing it, hehe~

Yup, only problem is that its ridiculous DLC baseΒ Β But for Comipo the base game itself has enough assets alreadyΒ Β

yes, unlike in sims 4, you have lots of color/pattern options for walls, furniture and stuff, so even if you use the same thing, it can have tons of looks.
in sims 4, everything can have like 6 other colors. thats it. but if in sale, most sims 3 things have a reasonable price if you ever decide to buy them~

Well I'm gonna have to look up some videos before deciding, those shop descriptions don't often make sense
One plus on Sim 3 is that I don't have to sign up for Origin Steam 4 life

Sims 3 is not that expensive nowadays. On some sites its about 7-15 Euro! Maybe you can save a bit? It's really helpful since Comipo is basically only good for school stuff D:

AlexisOddity In reply to RisaKeisu [2016-02-05 20:26:10 +0000 UTC]
I'd rather get Sims 4 just to play it and, well, use it for backgrounds.
I've seen ComiPo being used for much more than just school and comics. Β For websites, RPG, Visual Novel, ect. Β I guess you just have to be more creative with the features it has (i.e. custom posing) to make it better.

RisaKeisu In reply to AlexisOddity [2016-02-05 23:26:14 +0000 UTC]
Well, acctually i am fine with the main setting for me beeing school and i just think making school stuff is the easiest in Comipo.
I didn't like Sims 4 at all, it has very limited options for colors/patterns on clothes and furniture and the open world feeling is gone.
But others like it so i hope you will like it too~

That's a really neat idea, RK.
Last time I played anything from 'The Sims' series was on the Xbox.Β The Xbox.
Looks like something I should invest in...

The Sims 3 without addon ons doesn't cost too much if you look around a bit. I got my game for like 20 Euro 2 years ago.
It's fun playing + it's good for Comipo~

Vonhunter In reply to RisaKeisu [2016-01-16 07:45:08 +0000 UTC]
I'm looking for good house scenes, since Comipo is limited to mostly school scenes.
Is there an add-on to grab that suits such a thing, or is the base game good enough as it is?
π: 0 β©: 1
RisaKeisu In reply to Vonhunter [2016-01-16 15:39:45 +0000 UTC]
I have some add ons but mostly for gameplay not furniture and such, so the basic game is totally enough.
I mostly do house scenes with Sims 3 for Comipo too~

I so wish I could do that. But the Sims 3 breaks my computer every time I try it :c
π: 0 β©: 1
RisaKeisu In reply to Juneberry-chan [2016-01-07 22:44:09 +0000 UTC]
did you try to deinstall it and then install it again? it could also be that, if you downloaded mods or clothes, that these cause the crash.
i hope you can fix it!

Juneberry-chan In reply to RisaKeisu [2016-01-07 23:06:10 +0000 UTC]
I mean it literally broke my computer after installing it. Tried 3 times after having to reinstall my OS each time xD

RisaKeisu In reply to Juneberry-chan [2016-01-07 23:22:17 +0000 UTC]
wow, okay that shouldn't happen o_o With a legal bought game that sure is weird. Well, anyway, hope you can eventually get it to work!
..or buy a new computer one day D:

Eh my friend said they had similar issues but find Sims 4 less troublesome. Apparently it wasn't as uncommon as you'd think.
And if I need help I can find other methods or bug you?

Lady-Aurora-Moon In reply to RisaKeisu [2016-01-07 03:53:36 +0000 UTC]
Thanks. I try to do my best with the limitations that the program imposes upon us.Β I kind of wish there was a way to make rig-able clothing that actually moved with the character's bodies when they posed... you'd see a whole lot more cool clothes from me. Full suits, pants, the whole works. Oh well. I can always hope that comes out in some future update.

The beauty of the simplicity
I spent hours in blender 3D to (try to) create something like that!
Perhaps it's time to invest in the "Ikea expansion pack" of the sims 2
