Well.. this is part 2.

i wanted a good xenomorph size chart and there was nothing good on the internet. So i doodled one by myself:

Additionally, let's say "just for fun", i am working on a bigger size chart which features a lot of xenomorphs from video games, comics, toys or fan-stuff from the internet.

Some xenomorph variants are not shown because i do not have good pictures for them.

I am searching for good images that fits into the look of my chart for this creatures:

Queen from the comic "AvP The deadliest of the species" (really different crest)

Cloned Queen from "Alien:Resurrection" (and I mean the queen with her womb. Not just a different colored "normal" queen like NECAs new figure.)

The Pilot

Edits:

Edit 37: Deleted the "work loader" due to wideness-issues.
              Changed the "rogue" figure to the great "Rogue Alien" from the Prime 1 studios.

Edit 36: Added the "mutated queen" and the "wraith xenomorph" to the chart.

Edit 35: Added the "Luiz Hybrid" next to the standrt "warrior".

            Erased the "yautja female".

Edit 34: Added the "sevastopol drone" from the game "Alien: Isolation". My reason for that is that after some "studies of the "sevastopol" vs the "nostromo" drone, I found a lot of differences.
            Differences of the "sevastopol drone" are that it is digitigrade, measures 3 m and does have moving dorsal tubes with no hole on the top.

            Therefore i noticed an inconsistence wich is no where mentioned.

              The original drone has in the area of the neck between the shoulder blades has a rather long, pointed appendage with some bone-like corrugations.

              This extension prevents the alien from completely putting his head back. I have looked at many scenes in "Alien: Isolation" and occasionally the xenomorph is completely missing from this extension.

              One or the other time, the extension seems to exist, but bends towards the spine when the alien tilts its head back.

              There are too many differences to the Nostromo creature to be the same caste despite the same gene base.

Edit 51: Added the "flying xenomorph queen" between "destroyer" and "ultramorph".

Edit 50: all the "predalien"-hybrids are now called "yautjomorph".

Edit 49: Some mini-edits.

            I changed the pictures of "protoburster", "royal facehugger", "bloodburster" and "hammerpede".

Edit 48: Some little corrections.

            Old "king" has now just two arms.

            The "palatine" has now jaw-tusks instead of antennas.

            "Mistressburster" is now sligthly more red.

Edit 47: Added the "mistressburster" between the "dogburster" and "protoburster".

            It is the big "mistress-larvae" from the comics "Aliens: Genocyde".

Edit 46: Added the "exomorph" between the "engineer" and the "bat".

          I stumbled over this XCOM/Aliens-Crossover a few days ago. It is a very interesting xenomorph form.

            "Normaly after the full evolvement of a xenomorph embryo to a Chestburster it leaves the host and kills him/her. Sometimes this didn´t happen.

              The embryo starts melting together with its host during the evolvement to a Chestburster. From host to host the melting process differs in lenght from a few hours to a few days.

              It is very painful for the host when his/her body slowly begin to mutate and become a disgusting mix of a xenomorph and the host species.

              After the melting process is completed the mind of the host is usually destroyed and the xenomorph takes control over the new formed body; however, on rare occasions,

              the host has an "awakening", in which the host's personality and memories are retained, but are augmented by xenomorph instincts."

            My variant looks slightly different. I changed the dark green skin to a more human color because I think if the hostbody mutates this attribute would be to prevalent to change.

            Also the size of my variant is more like other crossbreedings and it only has two arms.

Edit 45: Added the "crocodile xenomorph" from the Batman x Aliens comics.

Edit 44: Added a adult "newborn". Body is from the great "Neo/Newborn" rendering by Noely Ryan. Face is from the juvenile "newborn".

            It is located between the "swimmer" and the "carrier".

            Changed the name of the "newborn" to "newborn (juvenile)

Edit 43: Added the "unnamed xenomorph predater" with the name "xenomorph prime predator" between the "Spider" and the "arachnoid":

Edit 42: Added the "Welles Xenomorph Hybrid". It is located between "Earth Angel" and "Cloned Drone".

          Added Bruce Hansings Xenomorph King. It is located next to the "Acheron Queen".

            Added the "tusked xenomorph". It is located between the "arachnid" and the "runner".

Edit 41: Big edit:
              Changed the pattern of the dome on "queen mother" to make it more round.

              Added TWO (!) more legs on the "spider"! I am a spider owner and did not notice that two legs were missing!

            Enlarged the back spines of the "earth queen" to match the draft.

Edit 40: Changed the name "red mother queen" to "mistress. The big red one is clearly a different caste than the little bluish "queen mother".

            In the comic "Aliens:Genocide" the term "mistress" is used for the big queens.


            Some little corrections on the "spider".

            Added "Ripley in Xenosuit". This one was made as a concept drawing for Neill Blomkamps "Alien5".

            The figure, and the photo is made by Oz-Muerte . Thank you very much.

Edit 39: Added the "Bluish Xenomorph Queen Mother" from the comic "Female War/Earth War".

            It is a small one so it is placed between "mantis" and "hive-warrior".

            Changed the name red "Queen Mother" into "Red Queen Mother".

            Changed size and position of the "king".

Edit 38: Added my own creation. The "xenomorph spider".

            It is made out of the NECA "spider gremlin" and a "Praetorian".

            I was asked by jason1701 to create this "xenomorph spider".

            It is placed between "neomorph" and "arachnoid".

Edit 37: I know. One edit chases the next. Anyway..

            Added the "berserker predalien" from the computergame. The size is not 100% clear.

            Some colour and contrast corrections on the "whity hybrid" and the "white hybrid king" to make the shape more clear.

            "The abomination" is now called "the abomination predalien".

            Erased the "super yautja" and the "hellhound" because they are on the yautja size chart.

Edit 36: Some little retouchings on the "white hybrid king", "white hybrid" and "earth angel".

            Changed the position and size of the "king". It stands now on the right of the "acheron-queen".

            "Praetorian" is now in the top row.

Edit 35: Added the "earth angel alien" from the comic. This is a new picture creation. I am not really sure how big this thing was.

            I put it between "super yautja" and "specimen 6".

            Added the "white hybrid". Put it between "chrysalis" and "boiler".

Edit 34: Changed the picture of the "king" from the sideshow-version to the prodosgames-version. It looks more brutal and the angle of the picture makes the shape more clear.

            Some minor retouchings on the "white hybrid king".

Edit 33: Added the "white hybrid king" from the comics.

Edit 32: Erased the expanded universe creatures form the yautjas. Only xenomorph-related yautjas are still there. Yautja will get an own chart.

Edit 31: Changed the picture of the "berserker yautja". It stands now upright. Changed the name to "super yautja" because "berserker" is an individual and the race itself is calles "super predator".

             Slight retouching on the "genetically altered yautja". Changed the name to "yautja assassin". This name may change soon because there are some different names in the internet.

             Movie calls it "ultimate predator". Internet says "upgraded", "genetically altered" or "hybrid" predator. Maybe movie refers with this new one to the "mutated predator" from the comics.

Edit 30: It is predator-day! Due to the new (not so good) movie "The Predator", i added new yautja-creatures.
              First one is the "yautja berserker" from the movie "Predators" beetween "specimen 6" and "cloned drone". I decided to add it because in the xenopedia it is clearly a sub-species of the yautja.

            Second is a preview-version of the "upgraded- or ultimate predator". By now i named it "yautja (genetically altered) because it seems to be not a natural form of yautja.

            This yautja-creature may be similar to "cloned xenomorphs". I do not know if i keep it in the chart, because I don't want to put in every redundant creature such a sthe "river ghost").

            But it is a new creature and there are no good pictures of it so i marked it grey. It is on the first row to the left.

Edit 29: Turned the head of the "spitter" to make shape and height more clear.

Edit 28: I have come up with a method of how to adjust the height of the xenomorphs evenly, despite the different postures.

              I look for the point at the base of the neck, where the upper ribs begin and extend the neckline to the skullcap. This point on the skull I rotate in the vertical. The now set point is the marker where the size is set.
              With this method, I compensate the unequal posture, because as soon as a Xenomorph presses the chin on the chest, the back of the head is massively in the air

            So now I corrected nearly every shown xenomorphs height.

            Chart is now a little bit wider.

            "Deacon" is now on the left in the top-row.

Edit 27: Changed the height of the "gorilla" and raised the head to match the correct size more precise.

            Added a litte easteregg. Just for fun. You see it?

Edit 26: Changed the picture of the "yautja". Now shown is "yautja" "Wolf". He stands upright.
            Changed the picture of the "predalien". Now it looks more agressive and the shape is more clear.

Edit 25: Changed the pictures of the "snake" and the "scorpion" due to the new necaonline.com/ figures.

            Edited the "praetorian". Due to a PN the "praetorian" has no digitigrade legs. So i used normal "warrior legs" instead.

            Deleted the "spiked head support" of the swimmer. Every xeno wich wants to put its head back doesn't have the "back-spike".

            Some little misspellings corrected.

Edit 24: Added the Scientific classification "internecivus raptus" from the movies.

Edit 23: Changed the picture of the "crusher". Its now a cg-image and fits better with the other xenos.

Edit 22: Turned the head of "specimen 6" to make the shape more clear.

            Little color-correction on the "6" to make it more visible.

Edit 21: Added the "warrior" "Specimen 6" between "warrior" and "cloned drone".

            I think "specimen 6" needs to be in this chart because it is no regular warrior.

            There are some major differences, such as the head (appears to be a combination of smooth- and warrior-head and not far away from the "praetorian" head).

            As well "specimen 6" has no protruding bones on the forearms.

Edit 20: Added some golden tint to the "crusher".

Edit 19: Opened the jaws of the "earth-queen" to make it look more agressive.

Edit 18: Due to a comment from Spacejockey102102 the size of the "queen" was not correct.

        There is a major difference between the "queens" of "Aliens" and "AvP". On www.jamescamerononline.com you can read about this:

        "The AVP Queen is 20 feet high (although the CG version shows her even bigger) while the original Queen's height was 14 feet, double the size of a man.

          According to Alec Gillis, Paul Anderson wanted her bigger. He wanted her as big as he thought/imagined she was when he was young watching the movie.

          The AVP Queen was colossal. But the size of the Queen in ALIENS was carefully calculated, based on real biology and how much bigger queens are than the regular workers/warriors"

        So I reduced the size of the "queen" to 4,6m an put her between the "rogue" and the "ultramorph". She is now called "acheron-queen".



        I added the "queen" from "AvP" with a height of 6m and put her between the "t-rex" and the "king". She is called "earth-queen".

        The picture is a combination of two pictures because there are very few images of the legs of the "earth-queen".

        But it was nessecary because the "earth-queens" body is very different to the "acheron-queen".

        The mature "deacon" is now in the lower left.

        Slight retouching on the "swimmer" to make the tail more visible.

Edit 17: In preparation of another big edit I changed this list of edits. Newest one is now on top.

Edit 16: Changed whips on the back and the tail of the "king" to make the shapes more visible.

Edit 15: Because of the 200 megapixel (width) limitation for deviantArt-submissions i changed the chart.
            I had to split the picture and stack it up, otherwise I would have had to run down the quality to the point where the little xenomorphs became pixelated.

Edit 14: Added the black "bodyburster".
            Added the big "abomination" predalien.

              Added TWO (!) more legs on the "spider"! I am a spider owner and did not notice that two legs were missing!

            Enlarged the back spines of the "earth queen" to match the draft.

Edit 40: Changed the name "red mother queen" to "mistress. The big red one is clearly a different caste than the little bluish "queen mother".

            In the comic "Aliens:Genocide" the term "mistress" is used for the big queens.


            Some little corrections on the "spider".

            Added "Ripley in Xenosuit". This one was made as a concept drawing for Neill Blomkamps "Alien5".

Edit 39: Added the "Bluish Xenomorph Queen Mother" from the comic "Female War/Earth War".

            It is a small one so it is placed between "mantis" and "hive-warrior".

            Changed the name red "Queen Mother" into "Red Queen Mother".

            Changed size and position of the "king".

Edit 38: Added my own creation. The "xenomorph spider".

            It is made out of the NECA "spider gremlin" and a "Praetorian".

            I was asked by jason1701 to create this "xenomorph spider".

            It is placed between "neomorph" and "arachnoid".

            Added the "berserker predalien" from the computergame. The size is not 100% clear.

            Some colour and contrast corrections on the "whity hybrid" and the "white hybrid king" to make the shape more clear.

            "The abomination" is now called "the abomination predalien".

            Erased the "super yautja" and the "hellhound" because they are on the yautja size chart.

Edit 36: Some little retouchings on the "white hybrid king", "white hybrid" and "earth angel".

            Changed the position and size of the "king". It stands now on the right of the "acheron-queen".

            "Praetorian" is now in the top row.

Edit 35: Added the "earth angel alien" from the comic. This is a new picture creation. I am not really sure how big this thing was.

            I put it between "super yautja" and "specimen 6".

            Added the "white hybrid". Put it between "chrysalis" and "boiler".

Edit 34: Changed the picture of the "king" from the sideshow-version to the prodosgames-version. It looks more brutal and the angle of the picture makes the shape more clear.

Edit 32: Erased the expanded universe creatures form the yautjas. Only xenomorph-related yautjas are still there. Yautja will get an own chart.

Edit 31: Changed the picture of the "berserker yautja". It stands now upright. Changed the name to "super yautja" because "berserker" is an individual and the race itself is calles "super predator".

             Slight retouching on the "genetically altered yautja". Changed the name to "yautja assassin". This name may change soon because there are some different names in the internet.

             Movie calls it "ultimate predator". Internet says "upgraded", "genetically altered" or "hybrid" predator. Maybe movie refers with this new one to the "mutated predator" from the comics.

Edit 30: It is predator-day! Due to the new (not so good) movie "The Predator", i added new yautja-creatures.
              First one is the "yautja berserker" from the movie "Predators" beetween "specimen 6" and "cloned drone". I decided to add it because in the xenopedia it is clearly a sub-species of the yautja.

            Second is a preview-version of the "upgraded- or ultimate predator". By now i named it "yautja (genetically altered) because it seems to be not a natural form of yautja.

            This yautja-creature may be similar to "cloned xenomorphs". I do not know if i keep it in the chart, because I don't want to put in every redundant creature such a sthe "river ghost").

            But it is a new creature and there are no good pictures of it so i marked it grey. It is on the first row to the left.

Edit 29: Turned the head of the "spitter" to make shape and height more clear.

Edit 28: I have come up with a method of how to adjust the height of the xenomorphs evenly, despite the different postures.

              I look for the point at the base of the neck, where the upper ribs begin and extend the neckline to the skullcap. This point on the skull I rotate in the vertical. The now set point is the marker where the size is set.
              With this method, I compensate the unequal posture, because as soon as a Xenomorph presses the chin on the chest, the back of the head is massively in the air

            So now I corrected nearly every shown xenomorphs height.

            Chart is now a little bit wider.

            "Deacon" is now on the left in the top-row.

Edit 27: Changed the height of the "gorilla" and raised the head to match the correct size more precise.

Edit 26: Changed the picture of the "yautja". Now shown is "yautja" "Wolf". He stands upright.
            Changed the picture of the "predalien". Now it looks more agressive and the shape is more clear.

Edit 25: Changed the pictures of the "snake" and the "scorpion" due to the new necaonline.com/ figures.

            Edited the "praetorian". Due to a PN the "praetorian" has no digitigrade legs. So i used normal "warrior legs" instead.

            Deleted the "spiked head support" of the swimmer. Every xeno wich wants to put its head back doesn't have the "back-spike".

            Some little misspellings corrected.

Edit 24: Added the Scientific classification "internecivus raptus" from the movies.

Edit 23: Changed the picture of the "crusher". Its now a cg-image and fits better with the other xenos.

            Little color-correction on the "6" to make it more visible.

Edit 21: Added the "warrior" "Specimen 6" between "warrior" and "cloned drone".

            I think "specimen 6" needs to be in this chart because it is no regular warrior.

            There are some major differences, such as the head (appears to be a combination of smooth- and warrior-head and not far away from the "praetorian" head).

            As well "specimen 6" has no protruding bones on the forearms.

Edit 20: Added some golden tint to the "crusher".

Edit 19: Opened the jaws of the "earth-queen" to make it look more agressive.

Edit 18: Due to a comment from Spacejockey102102 the size of the "queen" was not correct.

        There is a major difference between the "queens" of "Aliens" and "AvP". On www.jamescamerononline.com you can read about this:

        "The AVP Queen is 20 feet high (although the CG version shows her even bigger) while the original Queen's height was 14 feet, double the size of a man.

          According to Alec Gillis, Paul Anderson wanted her bigger. He wanted her as big as he thought/imagined she was when he was young watching the movie.

          The AVP Queen was colossal. But the size of the Queen in ALIENS was carefully calculated, based on real biology and how much bigger queens are than the regular workers/warriors"

        So I reduced the size of the "queen" to 4,6m an put her between the "rogue" and the "ultramorph". She is now called "acheron-queen".



        I added the "queen" from "AvP" with a height of 6m and put her between the "t-rex" and the "king". She is called "earth-queen".

        The picture is a combination of two pictures because there are very few images of the legs of the "earth-queen".

        But it was nessecary because the "earth-queens" body is very different to the "acheron-queen".

        The mature "deacon" is now in the lower left.

        Slight retouching on the "swimmer" to make the tail more visible.

Edit 15: Because of the 200 megapixel (width) limitation for deviantArt-submissions i changed the chart.
            I had to split the picture and stack it up, otherwise I would have had to run down the quality to the point where the little xenomorphs became pixelated.
