Description
Five of my uniform designs. If you want to use any of them, I'd be honoured, but please ask first.*WARNING: DESIGN NOTES AHEAD*
*You have been warned!*
Uniform 1 has a more "civilian" feel to it and is inspired by the uniforms of Stargate: Atlantis. It would fit into the late TOS era, and could be worn without the jacket to show a unicoloured, long-sleeved shirt underneath. The jacket can be worn open or closed.
Uniform 2 is a combination of TNG- and VOY-era uniforms, and could possibly used in the transition period as an alternative to the DS9 uniforms. The sleeve stripes indicate rank.
Uniform 3 is slightly more military, and I imagine it would be better suited to a series featuring regular crewmen rather than high-ranking officers.
Uniform 4 is a slightly more practical version of the one-colour-on-top future uniforms seen in TNG.
Uniform 5 is an alternative DS9-era uniform, or another possible transition uniform. I feel like the black DS9-era uniforms were definitely cool and comfortable, but they're not iconic the way the TNG and TOS uniforms were.
Uniform 6 is me diverging a bit from canon. I felt the lack of pockets was a major problem with many canon outfits. The jacket of this uniform has both inside and outside pockets, and does not close. It is removable. A long-sleeved, short-sleeved, or sleeveless shirt may be worn underneath.
Although none of these are exclusively TOS-era, and despite the anachronism, I kept to the original colour scheme of Command Gold and Operations Red. Why? Because I can't get enough of Redshirt, Deadshirt jokes. That, and two shades of red work better than two shades of gold to differentiate the two Ops divisions. Of course, it could be changed around.
The goal with these uniforms was to create something that could appear on the shows, something that would stand out among the existing lineup but at the same time something that would be immediately recognizable as a Starfleet uniform. I don't feel like any of these completely accomplished that, but I'd like to know what you guys think.

Nice...Though wondering why you chose for TOS color scheme with TNG attire?

It was easier to make three colours into five using the TOS scheme. That, and I just like redshirt/deadshirt jokes. >.>

I think these are great designs.I love all the silhouettes but personally I like the idea of a jacket. I remember an ST :TNG episode where Ensign Ro had a removable jacket for her uniform. And I thought that was great for an away team.
But I found it interesting that you flipped command to being mustard yellow as opposed to red.

Thank you! I agree, the jackets would be very nice to have. They're just a little bit more practical than jumpsuits without the jacket. Though admittedly not usually as sexy. ;D
It's supposed to be gold, but I'm horrible with colours. I did that because I've always loved the redshirt/deadshirt jokes from TOS, and because it was a lot easier to separate red into Light and Dark for Engineering and Security. Gold would have been much trickier. XP

Oh sorry! Well, I kind of remember the Star Trek colours...
Who says jackets aren't sexy??? If done right I mean.
Ah, yes..."Here comes Ensign Deadmeat."

I like them. It keeps the late TNG feel and look to them. But yet it provides a new look, sorta like a proto uniform before they switched to the ones as seen on late DS9 episodes

These aren't the standard colours--canon series only have three colours, and which one goes with which department depends on the era. TOS-era has gold for Command, red for Ops, and blue for Sciences/Medical. TNG-era and later have red for Command and gold for Ops, with blue still designating Sciences/Medical.

DS9, you mean? They're both awesome shows. You should watch some Trek, right now!

Oh, yes, DS9. *embarrassed-smile-look*
Don't have a tv (on purpose) and the DVDs are still too expensive for me. But they are on my list.

I liiiiike. I think they're all pretty immediately recognizable as Star Trek, (though I am a nerd so take that with a grain of salt) with the exception of the first, which I connected with Atlantis before I read your notes. XD

Hm... crossover maybe? The Wraith would certainly be interesting (read: delicious) Trek villains!

They would! I'm sure there would be many other awesome reasons for a crossover as well but WRAITH! XD
