That actually makes sense. Problem is though, when I see character put it on (masks like that) the always just stick in on their face and it's like it's glued there until the want to take it off. Like some kind of adhesive.

You're absolutely right. I always think the same thing whenever I see that. However, I'm pretty sure some people do use some sort of adhesive with masks like that.

Green Lantern's the only one I can forgive. He's got a magic ring that can make any clothes he wants stay on his body as long as he wants. So his masks sticking to his face makes sense.
