Aww thank you sooo much! Glad to hear that my male bodies are fine, I'm forced for work to draw mostly female bodies so when I come on a male one I try to do my best! ^^

if you dont draw male bodies that often then i give you props man. the only thing i know how to draw (when it comes to humans) are males. i've tried doing girls a few times but the hardest part i have on them are their breasts. and it's because of that i mess up on the rest of the body.
i did write a journal about how i needed advice on how to draw people more realistically for my project im doing for a story that i want to start on called "Zanzatsu". if you'd like to you can take a look at what i wrote and provide the options of advice that i requested

Wow, I LOVE this! Really really awesome posing and, as always, the emotions. I'd sworn off the gargoyle fan world until I came to your site today (people commonly mistake my Draeg-Kith for gargoyles, despite complete lack of wings and other such traits, and even though I came up with them before Gargoyles was created) , but I really do love your characters already.
Damn, Fiore is sex incarnate, you know that?

Oh yes, very nice job on this Detali and coloring, just perfect
And as for the blood spatters, tou could go out and but a fountain pen, then flick the pen a few times
Example: [link]
(hope that's what you're lookin for)
Or if you can't get your hands on a fountain pen, buy some spray paint. All you have to do is hold it down a little (not all the way), then when you see paint starting to build up and about to drop, apply a little more pressure. I also reccomend that you prctice with both those, I end up messin up a bit -__-
And again, awsome work

Also, one thing I thought was, wouldn't a gargoyle like that be strong enough to break from the rope's bindings or flip over and cut it with his talons?
π: 0 β©: 1
ritam In reply to Tyrm [2004-09-04 17:33:10 +0000 UTC]
Sure, but that is a steal rope if you notice. BTW, in that pose, with arms lifted that way behind his back, muscles have not enough strenght to break the ropes, and talons are too far to reach up to it. That's why I choose that position

Well well...me thinks Fiore finally decided to tangle with Goliath and co., and in the midst of the fight, Brooklyn lured him into this trap.
Then again, maybe I could be completey wrong and this pic hasn't any real story, but is most likely just a fashion pic. Stretching his arms like that actually gives a good display of the muscles.
Either way, though, can't say I should feel sorry for him. He's an evil gargoyle, right?

"..me thinks Fiore finally decided to tangle with Goliath and co., and in the midst of the fight, Brooklyn lured him into this trap."
nice thought, if it wasn't that Fiore will NEVER meet Wyvern's Clan. He and Eva are totally indipendent from the original series.
"..maybe I could be completey wrong and this pic hasn't any real story, but is most likely just a fashion pic. Stretching his arms like that actually gives a good display of the muscles."
Thanks I thought the same thing when I saw the pic wich inspirated me for this one.
Indeed, there isn't any story behind this pic I took inspiration from an illustration of Claire Wedling, a great comic artist and illustrator. I only thought the pose suited Fiore perfectly.
"..can't say I should feel sorry for him. He's an evil gargoyle, right?"
Well, not really...he and Eva were raised by a mafious family and he spent his enteire life fighting and murdering for it, knowing and receiving only violence, but he still is very proud to belong to his family and has instinct to protect it. We can say he's fierce, pityless and unforgiving, but not really "evil".
π: 0 β©: 1
Tyrm In reply to ritam [2004-09-06 15:49:24 +0000 UTC]
Hehe...well, I can imagine him yelling this at Brooklyn now if that was the story to the pic: "Let....me...GO!!!"
You know, Ritam, I happen to have in mind a Gargoyles fan story (and I normally hate fanfics of the series for the situations they put Brooklyn into) which currently hasn't gotten any work, but might interest you greatly. It's too long to explain in this here picture comment section, though. So email me at rwplace@speakeasy.org if you'd like to hear it.

Wow... This works on so many levels. It has this Batmanish vibe with a twist that is so typical for Gargoyles... And then, it's also street-level gritty... there's also the beauti of shape and colors and composition... And finally, the sex appeal. Just great.

ritam In reply to Epantiras [2004-07-13 17:51:52 +0000 UTC]
Vabbè, i bordi importano poco infondo.
E' sexy
Grazie x le macchie!!! Appena potrΓ² ci lavorerΓ²...
Ciao cara!

Epantiras In reply to ritam [2004-07-14 16:57:44 +0000 UTC]

My teacher tought me this: take a toothbrush and dip the bristles in red paint. Take your thumb and rub it over the bristles so the red splashes onto the page. It creates a good splatter effect.
The only problem is how not to get paint all over Fiore.
