Description
so after weeks of fighting with LuxRender to get the SLG Renderer aka FrankenLux to run a scene, with some help I got it working and decided to run a field test on itThose of you unfamiliar with LuxRender, the FrankenLux is a duel running renderer version of Lux that uses both his normal CPU render with its GPU only SLG (SmallLuxGPU) renderer that works pretty much like Octane, while superfast it does lack refinement tho up until SLG4
a Programer for the SLG (Dade I belive) managed to Frankenstein both Lux and SLG to run in pair to get Amazing rendering speeds
it was however very taxing on my computer so if you have a weaker computer, tread lightly
This close up of Linia under normal CPU only LuxRender got a render speed of about 25kS/s
which is...actually pretty bad, 35k and up normally renders clean in about 12 hours on my rig to about 1.5Ks/p depending on the size of the image
however on the FrankenLux SLG Renderer, the scene rendered at close to 250kS/s and 7 hours time got it to 4.4k Samples per Pixel
at 100S/p the hair was creating alot of the glitter it normally does in my renders but it had cleaned up and the render looks amazing rendered this far
so the problem is, is that I haven't been letting my renders bake for long enough
Silk is the biggest offender with glitter and fireflys, so I will have to get a scene running on her to see how well FrankenLux clears a scene of her
Enjoy

The general clarity and how well she was shaded here, It's almost life like. I think the environments are what you might need to start focusing on so she looks properly seated in her world.

IBL lights really do wonders
but I only used those two lights, works really well
but yes a good scene would be nice
maybe I should just let my images render this far from now on lol
