Description Just finished this one. Rollerderby Team... yes, Rollerderby. I did not know that my town had a rollerderby team until I was asked to do this. The team name is Dutchland Rollerderby... which is fitting since I live in Lancaster, PA... home of the Pennsylvania Dutch.

The odd thing is that they aren't descendents of the Dutch... they're actually German. I have no idea why they call themselves Dutch. Maybe it's some evolution from Deutschland. I'll have to look it up.

Anyway... The PA Dutch are a conservative lot, so I'm sure the Amish and Mennonites wouldn't be happy to see a female beating a guy while wearing a skimpy little Dutch girl outfit. I'm sure they don't approve of Rollerderbying either.

We're called PA Dutch because the Quakers (lead by William Pen who owned the state due to a deal with the King of England) mispronounced Deustch as Dutch since they were English. Somehow it just stuck, and we've been plagued with explaining we're German ever since haha.

Also The dynamic perspectiveΒ and muscles are well done.

Thanks Dsign... It's definitely Dutchland. The Pennsylvania German are correctly called the Pennsylvania Deitsch, but over the years I guess the word "Deitsch" sort of became corrupted and turned into "Dutch".

Well done Very original!

Are you sure the name of the club isn't Deutschland?

The simplicity isn't what bothers me. The softer shading you did on the guys suit seems to fight his shape.

I'm not totally in love with the coloring style, but I dig the drawing.

Thanks... I was going for something simple... This was pro-bono and I felt like the situation called for something cartoony.

John... I'm in love with you... totally.
