Thanks ^^
Had to look this up, but the Steller's jay must be the provincial bird of another province, since the bird of PEI is the blue jay. So, almost correct.

I had to check it too, since I'm from Europe (Netherlands) and didn't even know that provinces in Canada had provincial bird symbols at all XD but I got that info here:

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Symbols_…

There are a few online already. I paint one every week
Do you have an idea for a bird species that I can draw? (An extant bird with sufficient photo references online.) I need some fresh ideas.

I can think of a few interesting birds right off hand: Pygmy Falcon, Osprey, Hoopoe, Common Raven, Hyacinth Macaw, Bearded Vulture. (Sorry for such a long list)

Oh nice ideas! The raven and macaw will probably be low on the priority list, because I like to pick lesser popular species. (Slightly hypocrite, because corvids and parrots are my favorite birds, lol)

Glad to help! Yeah, they are quite popular. (They are both awesome species. Corvids are quite intriguing both in their appearance, and in their level of intelligence.)

They indeed are - I'd say that parrots are intriguing for their intelligence as well!

Thanks!
Aw I really should draw more endangered birds, then I can submit them in the Endangered Birds group! (Are vulnerable species also allowed? I have a kea and a Pesquet's parrot drawing in process.. Both vulnerable species according to IUCN red list)
