haha that's probably the case, because I think I was between her and her intended path.. In my experiences turtles dont have much patience for things in their way

I noticed when I was trying to take a picture of my baby Turtle, At first he was pulled deep into his shell and hadn't came out for around three minutes but when he did he could easily try to run and could no longer stay still, I was taking pictures of him on a wall but I didn't want to do that again because if he tries to run away from me he'll fall straight onto the streets fourty feet up.

Hehe, me and my little brother found a baby box turtle behind our house, and we have no idea where it came from, our house is not near and beaches and nearest river/lake/pound is about 5 miles or so away..

You are lucky to find a young box turtle, they commonly stay in hiding when they are babies, it is certainly not impossible for it to be out and about though! Box turtles are one of the more terrestrial turtles, so it doesn't necessarily need to live near a larger body of water.

Yes, indeed it was very lucky, but I returned it to its habitat it supposenly came from, the forest behind our house. It slowly walked away, cute little thing . I didnt know that, I thought all turtles came from lakes or rivers, such related to big bodies of water.

That's good! Hopefully, and they don't seem to go very far from where they were born, you will see him again someday!

nope, its a road used only to get to a field station! So luckily for all the stations turtles, everyone is aware and watches out for them
Thanks! When I get the chance I basically stock turtles around with cameras And she is a very pretty individual I would say so too

haha yea, with box turtles I find that most aren't actually that shy they just take a little longer to say hi!
