Ah, actually, people technically aren't supposed to sell Homestuck merchandise at conventions or online [link]
The only reason I was giving away Homestuck buttons for donating to Riley's was so I could bend the rules a bit to get rid of all the buttons I had made before this policy was in place, while still making sure the money from "selling" them was put somewhere useful like charity and that the buttons weren't just wasted. ;u;

I saw that after I said that, I for one think it is soooo stupid considering he got so much money from his kickstarter AND is selling his merc at INSANE prices. (40 dollar jackets? WTF) *sigh* oh wells

I think that's most people's opinion too, but there's enough people that get upset when people sell Homestuck stuff that I'd just rather not have to deal with that side of the fandom lol.
I mean, at conventions, people typically spend their money regardless, they're not going to save it to buy something from Hussie. :I

From what she researched he doesn't need to file a copyright since it's his "intellectual property". From the look of it, people can't even do parodies or anything either.
