Thanks Sweetie! For many years I used a corner of a room with an ironed bedsheet, floor lamps from the trash and work lights from the hardware store! I got darn good results from that set up too!

okies... perspex is plastic glass, i thought it was a worldwide brand name. an 8' x 4' sheet of plastic glass laid over any floor gives great reflections and if you lay a sheet of backdrop paper under it you can have a shiney floor in any colour.

The lighting is absolutely stunning...I love the overall darkness and delicate shades, giving the dancer a look of fragility. This sounds weird, but at first I didn't notice she was topless because I was concentrating so much on the beautiful pose and composition. I guess that's one of the marks of a truly great artistic nude shot - when the viewer's first thought isn't "Oh my god, she's naked!".
