Description
The McDonnell-Douglas F-4 Phantom II entered the Vietnam War in 1965, and was sent against air and ground targets. On May 20, 1967, WWII fighter ace Colonel Robin Olds and his weapon system officer Lt. Stephen Croker destroyed two Communist MiG-17 jet fighters with their F-4C Phantom. This airplane is now on display at the National Museum of the United States Air Force (Wright-Patterson AFB, Dayton, Ohio).
