Description
Launched ahead of schedule in April 2151, Enterprise (NX-01) was the first United Earth Starfleet ship capable of Warp 5, and the first with a Vulcan officer aboard (T'Pol, played by Jolene Blalock). Her captain, Jonathan Archer (Scott Bakula), holds the unfortunate distinction of being the last captain of any Star Trek TV series. NX-01 was also the first all-CGI Enterprise. The design has a few detractors, namely those that consider it too modern for the 22nd century and more appropriate for the 24th century. Perhaps the producers should have used the spindly XCV-330 concept featured in Star Trek: The Motion Picture, which looks a lot more like a primitive spaceship. This detailed light-up model of NX-01 was on display at the Shizuoka Hobby Show.
