Description Ferrocarriles Vascongados followed its initial order of ten Ganguren-class meter-gauge electric locomotives in 1928 with four stronger ones in 1931, this time from CAF (mechanical) and ASEA (electrical) rather than Haine St. Pierre (mechanical) and Brown Boveri (electrical) to save money.  The style was different, with the new locomotives having a boxcab body with balconies at each end rather than the Gangurens' articulated "crocodile" configuration. The first of the half-Swedish half-Spanish boxcabs, FV 11 / FEVE 4101 Ego-Arbitza, was delivered with Isothermos bearings, which were replaced with Timken roller bearings in the 1970s.  It was retired in 1988 and is preserved in a plain dark green livery at the Basque Railway Museum in Azpeitia.
