One of the first helicopters flown by the Japanese Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF) was the Piasecki H-21 Shawnee, AKA the flying banana. Two are preserved at Hamamatsu Air Park; this one is on display outside next to the Curtiss C-46 Commando.
