Description
The Manchester Museum of Science and Industry is built around Liverpool Road Station, which opened in 1830 as a Liverpool and Manchester Railway (L&MR) passenger station before becoming a London and North Western Railway (LNWR) freight terminal. This short consist of four British Railways freight cars -- two 16-ton open wagons and two 12-ton express goods vans -- stands in front of one of the old LNWR warehouses, which is now used as exhibition space for the museum.Related content

There are some on display and occasionally run here, but they are kept indoors most of the time. I am not sure about visitors from other railways and museums.

It must be said that this sort of thing is, sadly, no longer possible; the access point was severed a few weeks ago, in preparation for the 'Ordsall Chord' project due to proceed...

So I've heard...does that prevent the "out and back" excursions too?
