Description
The presentation sword of Sir Arthur Currie, commander of the Canadian Corps in World War I and an extremely meticulous and effective general who made sure to prepare his troops before each new offensive, is displayed at the Canadian War Museum in Ottawa. It was under Currie's leadership that Canada scored one of the final Allied victories of the war -- the liberation of Mons, Belgium on the morning of 11 November 1918.
