Description
Two HO-scale model streamliners running at the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania in Strasburg were Reading Railroad G1sa Pacific (4-6-2) steam locomotive No. 118 (Baldwin, 1916) with the Budd-built Crusader express of the late 1930s and Central Railroad of New Jersey (Jersey Central / CNJ) DR-6 Janus diesel locomotive No. 2005 (Baldwin, 1948) with a mixed commuter train. Neither type of locomotive has been preserved, so seeing these models together was a pleasant surprise reminder of the streamlined age of American railroads.
