Description
The New York and Long Branch Railroad (NYLB), a joint railway owned by the Central Railroad of New Jersey (Jersey Central / CNJ) and the Pennsylvania Railroad (PRR), began service between Bay Head and Perth Amboy in 1875. The station house at Red Bank in Monmouth County, a Victorian Gothic building that has seen President Grant, the Roosevelts, and King George VI, still stands next to the modern NJ Transit platforms serving North Jersey Coast Line commuter trains.
