Description U.S. Air Force/Ohio Air National Guard Boeing KC-97L Stratofreighter flying tanker Zeppelinheim resemblea the Boeing 377 Stratocruiser airliner with two major external differences: a radome under the cockpit and a pair of jet engines supplementing the four Wasp Major-driven propellers.  Zeppelinheim's name, printed on the fuselage in Fraktur letters, comes from the German city near Frankfurt am Main in the state of Hesse.  By the time this KC-97L entered service, Zeppelinheim no longer hosted airships, and instead hosted the now-closed Rhein-Mein Air Base.  Zeppelinheim now sits in the Korean War hangar of the National Museum of the United States Air Force (Wright-Patterson AFB, Dayton, Ohio).
