A domme I lived with for a time packed heavily when we decided to attend the annual Beat Me In St. Louis BDSM gathering. She brought a huge trunk which we needed help lugging into the aging but quaint convention hotel on the outskirts of town (see in the photo the nice stained glass windows in our room). While I was attending to preliminaries downstairs, Ma'am -- which was Her scene name -- unpacked our treasure chest, putting out a nice selection of toys, boots, outfits, gags, clamps, and other eye-candy on the wide window ledge. Upon my return the sight of that display immediately grabbed me -- as did She! We didn't get out of the room again for a few hours.

This Polaroid image shows only about a third of the display, which would have done proud any big-city fetish store window. The ledge stayed so adorned for the entire 3-day visit. I am certain the housekeeping staff cleaning our room had seen stuff like this before, as the Beat Me show had returned to that hotel a number of time.. They also had to work around a daily display of dripping rubber gear and toys that we had washed and hung out to dry in the bathroom. We worried we might scare away a maid or two, our immoderate discretion such as it was. However, everyone on staff was nice, none of our gear was disturbed in any way, and so we left a nice tip on the table upon checking out. Beat Me is still going strong, though at another venue.
