I heard that dodos use to be this kind of pigeon that got stuck on a tropical pradise island, where food was so easy to get. With no predators or threats and so many of years of those birds living there without any danger, they involed into fat flyless birds, that we call now dodos.
Later after years without being distured, man came to the island and killed off some dodos, but they werent very tasty so they stop doing it but the problem was that they brought with them feral cats, dogs, rats and other animals, which killed off the dodos.

I`ve read that dodoes weren`t really tasty but they were so easy to catch that the lazy sailors hunted them to death and even used them as firewood when they weren`t hungry.

Well, there's that too, I guess. They didn't have a fera of people, so they didn't know to run away from them. That's why they were so easy to catch.

Apparently, they're tasty. That's why the dodos became extinct. because they were so magically delicious.
