This is actually pretty cool. I hadn't thought of using antler as an axhead before.
Do you have any idea how much wear it will stand for when thinned down like this? My guess is it would be useful as a weapon but worthless for cutting, but I can't really decide... xD

Yes, it works. Endures robustness and durability surprisingly well. Sharpening is still necessary after HEAVY USE, When thinned down like this.
I have used similar to brought down about 6, wrist thick pines. Plus! broken a countless number of both small and larger branches from trees. I have also broken sheep skull with it.
