Umm, wow. I am speechless. Things like this just take my breath away. I have always wanted to go there. You know, just to really see for myself.

It really is an amazing and emotional experience. It was one of my main reasons for going to Poland to begin with.

That was exactly how I felt. I couldn't be in Poland and not go.
I did okay until I got to the room with the shoes. When I saw the display with all the children's shoes, I lost it.
It was very emotional, but I am so glad I went.

I totally understand. I am going to post some pics from Barack 17 soon. It was the notorious barack where the SS did some of the most horrible things at Auschwitz. It included the "standing cells". I actually got physically ill when I saw them.
