For awhile, I hesitated on doing anything with the prequel stuff aside from the wizard kids since, you really have to read the Glitchtale Bible that is its Wiki to somewhat understand what the hell is going on. Why Betty needs a concise origin, you have me, I honestly would’ve preferred Betty being just her own entity created by the game itself cause you know…Glitchtale? Notably, Amber just being forgotten to time is so weird considering both A. She’s a Lightvale princess and B. Has an incredibly rare Dual Traited Soul! Considering her mother died not too long after birth, I’d imagine that would be seen as some sort of grand miracle. Otherwise, her existence just feels like padding along side all the other prequel mentions in Season 2 that don’t really go anywhere.

Amber Lightvale is the youngest heir to the throne, born with a soul bearing both Integrity and Kindness. Her birth was hailed as a tragic miracle due to her mother not surviving after labor, and was raised by her Wizard siblings Agate and Copper. Her traits allowed her to be Sincere while also Empathetic, meaning she’d be fully honest with you while not being too scathing about something on her mind. Unlike her siblings, Amber wasn’t that much of a fighter and detested conflict, and instead was being raised to handle affairs on behalf of her kingdom.

Of course, nothing could ever prepare her for the real thing. After the Monster-Human War had ended with the raising of the barrier, the wizards fell in discord with one another over their clashing and quickly polarizing opinions, with Agate and Copper at the helm of each side of the debate. Despite Amber’s efforts to quell the fighting between her siblings, Agate challenged Copper to a duel the bravery wizard ultimately fled nearing her defeat.

Instead of the Bête Noire spell turning Agate’s soul pink, I’m making it known here that it was the result of Inverting her trait. Speaking of, Agate then returned emassing an army to wage war against her brother, plunging the kingdom into chaos. Agate fed off of the fright stirred by her attack, her power soon rivaled that of Copper’s himself and only used killing Amber who unfortunately got caught in the crossfire to demoralize him. She emerged victorious, however it being short lived as her soul could not adapt to the sudden spell altering it. Using the time she had left, Agate sealed her soul inside of a unholy cocoon which took host inside of Amber’s body, creating The Black Beast which would only emerge from hibernation if the barrier was ever destroyed.

Also gonna make Betty’s Kumu fusion insect like to take the metaphor to it’s fullest extent
