As mentioned in my redesign for Stolas , Via is another victim of Season 2’s weird writing decisions 😭 Not to say I didn’t like the LuLu Land episode where she clearly had friction with her father’s affair and there was a nice moment between them towards the end, but I still feel like the convo between her and Loona was just a rehashed retelling of the same lesson. Aside from that, we really don’t see much of her place as a future heir to the Goetia throne and how that responsibility weighs down on her agency. I do appreciate the angle of her having to deal with the fallout of her parent’s marriage, thought I feel she suffers a similar problem akin to Millie: That’s it. All I can recall her character doing is being frustrated over her father’s affair and having parental issues, and there’s barely much else to compensate for that.

Octavia Goetia is the Princess of Pride and the future heir to the throne. Since childhood, her parents have prepared her for shouldering the circle’s political responsibilities and ingrained her with an outstanding bias towards the Imps beneath their talons…However, their style of which differed greatly. Stella was more focused on asserting her Royal status proudly, and showcasing how to exert her powers to make cruel examples of those who dare to oppose her rule. Stolas preferred to be more contractual, teaching her the exploitive ways to secure capital from their servants by utilizing more of her wits. This would lead to internal conflict within Octavia as she reached her teenage years and began to try to find more of herself, rather than what her parents were molding her to be for the sake of continuing their bloodline’s influence over Pride. This arc leads her to exploring outside her castle and having to combat her prejudice towards Imps, meeting Loona on her path towards self discovery. I think it would interesting to expand upon their dynamic a bit more as both in my reworks both have struggles about who they are as people after their own experiences, perhaps even forming a strong friendship with each other.

Afterwards, I think it’d do her Justice to have a scene where she confronts her parents and finally stands up for who she wants to be, making them swallow their own pride to show that they genuinely want the best for her instead of what their selfish desires insist.
