: paradox: or : portal:This is my first pixel work. It is made of long and failed animation.
Here, i'll describe what it's supposed to be:
First, he blinks.
Then, he blinks again (extreme, i know)
SUDDENTLY: A CHALLENGER APPEARS (i.e.: a portal, paradox, time-warping tube, teleport, wormhole. you choose)
Character is scared. Really really scared. Maybe startled.
Then he calms himself. Decides to investigate further.
He pokes inside the portal/paradox/wormhole. Pokes again. just to be on the safe side.
And so
He braves the impossible. He walks inside. And it closes.
But by miraculous nature's feat, a portal/wormhole/paradox appears on the left side (2d!)
And the character... walks out of it. and it dissapears. Character is puzzled.
That is all.

That is incredibly fuckin' neat.
I love the shading on your emote, I think it really works well. And the appearance the portals works perfectly. Nice idea on the loop as well.
Perhaps the one thing I'd consider adjusting would be the pixeling of the facial expression where he is surprised. It seems to me his mouth and eyes are a little too close, perhaps move the eyes up a pixel or two? Also the part where he "rubs his eyes" in disbelief - The eyes look to big for the hands. For this I'd suggest having the eyes change from Oo to I I first, and then have the hands move back and forth.
Its always nice to discover a hidden gem like this one.
