I don't know... for a G1 mold (as Swindle) it was a pretty good mold. Back then, he was probably one of the better combiner pieces.

well, i don't really have that many combiners from earlier generations of transformers, so i'll have to trust you on that.

A lot of them were bricks without even separated legs.

Some were even worse than Scowl's internal bot, but yes, essentially like that.

Off the top of my head, Groove had two flip out feet over a thick base and a wheel for his 'legs' (ironically, I really liked him) Almost all the original combiner arms/legs had a similar transformation to each other. Pull out the legs, rotate up the arms, and maybe flip back a vehicle nose.
